For our office directly at the IZB Campus in Munich/Martinsried we are looking for a Technical Assistant (BTA / CTA) Analytical Chemistry (m/f/d)) to support our strain engineering team. Does this sound like your next step?

For this position you will perform the following duties:

  • Perform routine analysis of fermentation samples including sample preparation and data processing
  • Become an expert in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting analytical instruments, especially GC-MS and HPLC
  • Develop, optimise, and improve analytical methods

Your profile:

  • Completed vocational training for BTA / CTA or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, life sciences or an equivalent field with an emphasis in analytical chemistry
  • technical skills, willingness to learn operation of complex analytical equipment
  • Hands-on experience with GC and HPLC instrumentation including use of instrument operating software is a plus but not necessary
  • Good documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to work flexibly in a dynamic startup setting
  • Previous work experience in biotech is a plus
  • Proficiency in English communication

Scope: ​Fulltime (40h/week)
